ABOUT ME

JORDAN IAIN MCCURRACH

As a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer I am an accredited member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

Working together with my clients I always endeavour to make their journey to success as pain-free and fun as possible with innovative and effective workouts. 

 

Whether their goal is working towards increasing muscle size; reducing body fat; improving sports performance; or simply combating the effects of ageing - with safe and efficient training, the possibilities are endless.

 

I have always had a passion for helping people and a continued interest in my own professional development.  Having recently completed courses in Sport & Exercise Nutrition Coaching (Pn1), Antenatal & Postnatal Exercise Adaptations and becoming a certified Mobility Specialist (FRC).  My key training methods revolve around bodyweight exercises and functional movement patterns.

 

My acute attention to detail when it comes to exercise technique coupled with my passion for success is why I believe I continually help clients to set and achieve their goals.  "Small changes really can make a big difference."

So if you are looking to improve your fitness, but lack the knowledge or confidence, I will strive to let you forget about the ‘gym' bit and help you get JIM fit.

'I'm now into my 9th month of training with Jordan and I have to say without reservation, it's one of the best decisions I've made for my health and fitness.  Although I've been interested in the gym for years, I was held back by injury worries (as a musician I was concerned about extra stress on my arms and hands) and lack of motivation stemming from my lack of direction in the gym.  Looking back, I realise that all I needed was some solid guidance and instruction (not contradictory advice on the internet) and Jordan has provided this and more.  Since training, I've not only progressed towards my goals in strength and body composition, but have also improved my posture and largely eliminated any discomfort I have felt in the past from long hours of repetitive practising.  Jordan's knowledge and truly selfless attitude to training has allowed me to progress at a rate I am proud of and has allowed me to form a really healthy relationship with the gym and exercise.  I can't recommend him highly enough!'

"Before I met and started training with Jordan, I was getting really frustrated. Despite going to the gym 4/5 times a week, I wasn't seeing a difference.  Jordan and I sat down and quickly realised I was simply not eating enough.  I used to be a size 12/14 and after getting down to a size 8 through dieting etc, I was still in that 'diet fad' phase.  On some days, I was going to the gym twice but only eating 900 or so calories - I just didn't realise how important it was to eat more of the good food to fuel all my time at the gym.  Jordan told me just how much I should eat of carbs, protein and fat every day.  I've lost a little weight (which wasn't really my goal) but more importantly, I've become stronger and I've also toned up.  My measurements have gone down and I also feel way more energised. I now know it's OK to eat MORE and not feel guilty about it! "

"I had been overweight almost my whole adult life and I knew I had to do something before it got totally out of control.  My friend and I started going to the gym and to a few classes however I felt like I didn't know what I was doing and needed more structure.  Jordan took a couple of the classes I really enjoyed so my friend and I decided to try Tag Team PT with him and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I wanted to make changes for life, not just a quick fix and Jordan has helped me break bad habits and change the way I think and feel about food and exercise.  He is very knowledgeable and incredibly understanding but always pushes you to do your best.  
I have since moved onto solo PT for a more focused programme - with more than 4 stone down and 4 dress sizes, I couldn't be happier.  I have a long way to go still but I know with Jordan's help I will get there! "

1-2-1 PERSONAL TRAINING

Following an initial consultation to discuss and set some smart goals, each Bronze, Silver or Gold level package includes your chosen amount of 60 minute 1-to-1 Personal Training sessions.  

 

To compliment your PT sessions you will be provided with a personalised Training Programme to follow outwith your sessions, and given the opportunity to complete a weekly Food diary in order to receive some nutritional guidance to help you achieve your goal.

GROUP PT SESSIONS

I am launching a new group personal training six week programme that has been designed for those wanting to make the most out of their lunchtime training sessions.  This course will teach you the fundamental techniques and enable you to properly perform the big lifts.

 

Each small group PT Session breaks down the technique of each compound exercise and is accompanied by a gym training programme to practice between sessions to ensure a steady progression through the course.

 

The course is ideal for those looking to learn more about resistance training, gain overall body strength, and build lean muscle whilst reducing body fat.

 

Strictly limited spaces to ensure maximal individual coaching.
